Easy Low Fat Waffle with Spreadit Toppings
Ingredients
Waffle batter
- 90 gm Flour
- 20 gm Olive Oil
- 2 Eggs separated
- 20 gm brown sugar
- 10 gm milk
- 3 gm baking powder
Toppings 1
- Earl Grey Spread
- Cream Cheese
- Chocolate Chips
Toppings 2
- Rose Silve Champagne Jam
- Clotted cream
- Melon Seeds
Toppings 3
- Strawberry Jam
- Sliced Fresh Fruits
- Lemon Zest
- Greek Yoghurt
Method
- Whip the egg whites together till they have almost reached hard peak**
- In a separate bowl mix together the flour, baking powder and brown sugar. **
- Add the egg yolks, milk and olive oil.
- Mix in one third of the egg whites••
- Fold the remaining egg whites in gently
- The batter should be thick pouring consistency ••
- Heat the waffle iron and brush with some olive oil on either side
- Pour the batter and let it cook till brown and crisp on both sides
- This recipe makes roughly 4-5 waffles depending on the size of your waffle iron. **
- For topping one whisk the earl grey and cream cheese spread together. Spoon over hot waffle add some dark chocolate chips and drizzle some honey **
- For topping two spoon some clotted cream and rose jam over the waffle, add some melon seeds
- For topping 3 add some lemon zest to the Greek yoghurt and whisk together. Place some sliced fruits and add a dollop of the green yoghurt and Spreadit’s Mango Mint Jam
