Easy Low Fat Waffle with Spreadit Toppings

Ingredients

Waffle batter

  • 90 gm Flour
  • 20 gm Olive Oil
  • 2 Eggs separated
  • 20 gm brown sugar
  • 10 gm milk
  • 3 gm baking powder

Method

  1. Whip the egg whites together till they have almost reached hard peak**
  2. In a separate bowl mix together the flour, baking powder and brown sugar. **
  3. Add the egg yolks, milk and olive oil.
  4. Mix in one third of the egg whites••
  5. Fold the remaining egg whites in gently
  6. The batter should be thick pouring consistency ••
  7. Heat the waffle iron and brush with some olive oil on either side
  8. Pour the batter and let it cook till brown and crisp on both sides
  9. This recipe makes roughly 4-5 waffles depending on the size of your waffle iron. **
  10. For topping one whisk the earl grey and cream cheese spread together. Spoon over hot waffle add some dark chocolate chips and drizzle some honey **
  11. For topping two spoon some clotted cream and rose jam over the waffle, add some melon seeds
  12. For topping 3 add some lemon zest to the Greek yoghurt and whisk together. Place some sliced fruits and add a dollop of the green yoghurt and Spreadit’s Mango Mint Jam
